What's this?
This website is a collection of various projects and other things by Andrew Borrell. There's not really an overall theme other than it's all stuff that I've done. If you have comments about anything on here you can email me at and*ewb*rrell@gmail.com. (Please replace the stars so that it makes my name). The site is still largely under construction so there's not a great deal here just yet.
Experiments In CGI
This is my CGI blog. It mainly features articles about ray-tracing, particularly with Yafaray.
Gold Thief
Gold Thief is a game I wrote a long time ago to run on MSDOS. Years later for nostalgia I decided to port it to java. Only the graphics code was changed, all the game logic is exactly the same, including the shoddy animation, slow frame rate and a few bugs. But it's still fun.

CFDG Evolution
Context Free Design Grammar is a cool language made up by Chris Coyne (see here) for generating pictures. I've been working on a tool to randomly mutate pictures described in this language so that pleasing images can quickly be evolved (the header and footer of this table were generated this way). More
